KIDWELL RIDGE
I've extracted the floorplans of nearly a hundred residences depicted in movies and television, like houses in "The Waltons" and "The Munsters", mansions in "Pollyanna" and "Casper", the Hogwarts School from "Harry Potter", the Deep Coore Explorer 2 from "The Abyss", and my most ambitious effort, the mile long Cygnus from "The Black Hole".  The challenge comes in compensating for the discrepancies between actual buildings, artistic or computer generated enhancements, and soundstage sets for interiors, which are combined to represent a single location.  It was good practice for my newer hobby: extracting the floorplans for mansions/buildings solely from video walk-throughs, or drone fly-throughs, found on the internet!  The challenge now comes from filling in the spaces missed by the camera, with a little bit of educated guesswork.  For the plan below, I only had to guess a little with the first floor.  But very little of the second floor was shown, so I educated guessed based on window locations from exterior shots.
